Apical will be demonstrating the latest version of its iridix dynamic range compression engine on the Texas Instruments Booth at IFSEC 2006.
IFSEC is the UK's leading security solutions exhibition, to take place between 8-11 May at the NEC, Birmingham, UK. The TI booth is in Hall 20, Stand L120.
As a member of TI's 3rd Part Network, Apical has developed and optimised its core libraries for the TI DM642 DSP, enabling true pixel-by-pixel wide dynamic range imaging to be implemented readily on a wide range of security camera and video capture devices.
Apical's demonstration consists of a complete WDR camera system, combining the latest in WDR CMOS sensor technology from TI, the high performance of the DM642 processor, and Apical's firmware.
Apical's CEO, Dr Michael Tusch, will be delivering a conference presentation entitled "Wide Dynamic Rang e Imaging Using Texas Instruments DSPs" in The Security Installer Seminar Theatre in Hall 7 at 14:15 on 10 May.
