New iridix6 Paralanche software architecture released
Apical announces the release of the iridix version 6 family of software libraries. For this release, the code has been completely restructured based on Apical's proprietary "Paralanche" processing architecture.

This powerful architecture enables a host of new features, including enhancements in image quality; much shorter development time for new versions; rapid optimisation for different processor architectures and DSP hardware capabilities; highly flexible and low use of memory even for high megapixel images.

In particular, the Paralanche architecture is designed for high optimisation on multiple core processors.

iridix 6 libraries are available for a wide range of CPU and DSP devices.

Dr Michael Tusch, CEO Apical: "We are excited by this new release, which is the result of several years' development based on our experience of many different software environments. For example, Paralanche code can make full use of parallel processing capabilities of CPU/DSP/graphics coprocessors to yield highest performance with low power and device loading."
